Vitor Belfort is back and he will make his return in a boxing match reportedly set for a Triller event.

ESPN‘s Ariel Helwani reported on Thursday that Belfort is starting preparations for a boxing fight against Mike Holston (AKA Tarzan). The Triller boxing event is on June 19. Additionally, Holston is a YouTube influencer, which seems to be how Triller prefers to match their boxers. Granted, the company is an entertainment enterprise so it makes sense that they look for big names to garner pay-per-view buys.

Vitor Belfort is one of many MMA fighters that are turning to box. While some wait until their MMA career is over, others have been released from their respective promotion but want to in combat sports still. Overall it is an exciting fight as MMA fans have not seen Belfort in a fight setting since 2018.

Specifically, Belfort was last knocked out by Lyoto Machida, but now he is ready to right the wrongs of his past. Belfort last won a fight in 2017 against Nate Marquardt. The Brazilian still has power but won the fight via unanimous decision. In the end, this will be an exciting fight because Belfort is always a fast starter and doesn’t mind going out on his shield from time to time.

There is a signed deal in place for @vitorbelfort vs. @therealtarzann to take place on the June 19 Triller card, per @RyanKavanaugh.

12-ounce gloves, eight two-minute rounds. Pro bout, pending Florida commission approval likely tomorrow. Belfort is 1-0 as a boxer (2006).

With a giant opportunity in front of Belfort, it will be interesting to see how he approaches the boxing world. While Tarzan is a YouTube influencer, he is a big guy.

Don’t miss the big Triller event this June.
