Rising prospect Valerie Loureda will return at Bellator 258 against Hannah Guy on May 7.
The news was first reported by sources at Maxim. Then, MMAJunkie confirmed the booking. This will be the first bout for each athlete since Aug. of 2020. In addition, both flyweights managed to finish their last opponent but did so in a different fashion. On one hand, Loureda showed off her power and impressive boxing, scoring a TKO. While on the other hand, Guy showed ground skills and impressed in her last bout with a rear-naked choke despite the performance not being in the Bellator promotion.
Valerie Loureda And Hannah Guy On Collision Course For Bellator 258
Loureda’s outlandish personality and social media presence at times rub her opponent the wrong way. But the rising prospect understands the necessity of selling a fight. However, her last opponent Tara Graff took issue with her and implied she was just a social media model. As a result, Loureda smoked Graff with a swift right cross and followed it up with ground and pound to secure the finish.
Loureda remains undefeated in Bellator. Conversely, Guy’s nickname hurricane is apt because of her unpredictability. Also, the American’s scrambling ability is top-notch which is why this fight is so compelling. In the end, it will be a good fight to determine where each athlete stands in the stacked Bellator flyweight division.
