Thriving middleweights Uriah Hall and Sean Strickland will meet at UFC 265 on August 7.
The news was first reported by ESPN. Additionally, Hall will make a quick return after his last fight resulted in Chris Weidman injuring his leg in the opening round. In particular, the injury was quite gruesome, but fortunately, it looks like Hall will have another chance at a top fighter in the middleweight division. The location and venue for UFC 262 have yet to be set in stone.
Uriah Hall Gets Quick Turnaround Against Sean Strickland
Following his first-round TKO against Weidman, the former TUF standout is riding a four-fight win streak. Hall has fought some big names and come out on top lately. Prior to the matchup with Weidman, the flashy middleweight striker finished the legendary Anderson Silva in the fourth round of their main event by strikes. Not only that, but he sent Bevon Lewis and Antônio Carlos Júnior to the back on the queue as well. Without a doubt, Hall will look to keep the fight standing where he is most comfortable.
Similarly, Strickland is on a four-fight win streak too. Although, an important factor to take note of is that he just fought two weeks ago, so it stands to reason his physical conditioning will be superb for the UFC 265 fight with Hall. In particular, Strickland has some solid wins on his record too, like Brendan Allen and Krzysztof Jotko. In the end, the middleweight fight will serve as a pivotal fight in the middleweight division at UFC 265.
