The United Fight League came to make big waves in the MMA world. They not only want to level the playing field, but they will look to introduce medical and life insurance for their fighters. The organization will hold its first event this weekend on Saturday, February 18th. You can watch the stream live for free on Rumble.
The United Fight League will hold a grand prix style tournament with its fighters, and will eventually include a team franchise model with 12 teams spread out around the country.
Ryan Jarrell had a chance to sit down with the organization and get an inside look into the company and their upcoming event on February 18th, 2023. UFL Founder, Harrison Rogers, is excited to bring changes to the sport. “We are officially the first MMA league to offer medical insurance, life insurance, and stake to the company.”
Legends Of The Sport
UFL founder, Harrison Rogers has even brought many legends of MMA into the newly minted promotion with Frank Mir, Rampage Jackson, and Tito Ortiz. Who better to help build an organization that is built to support fighters than previous fighters themselves? This was the approach the organization took when they sought out who they could build their company with.
Rampage Jackson is excited to be a part of the journey and had this to say about the company.
“What Harrison is doing is he is trying to change the sport of MMA, and it’s going to take a whole village. It’s gonna take all of us MMA Fans and people that love the sport to come together and support United Fight League and help us grow. This is an opportunity for the whole sport to grow. If this works out like I think it will, I think other events and promotions will have to step up their game and treat fighters better.”
