UFC Vegas 28 is going to be remembered as the night of the heavyweights.

Inside the UFC Apex Facility in Las Vegas, Walt Harris and Marcin Tybura went to war in the co-main event. Early on as the fight began, in typical fashion, Harris came out like a bull in a China shop.

Despite early success, Harris faltered after an early onslaught and the 35-year old Tybura withstood the damage to swing momentum back in his corner. Within the first round, Harris began to throw kicks more frequently. Consequently, the kicks resulted in Tybura finding an opening and closing the distance by tying up Harris.

Tybura is known for his incredible top pressure if the heavyweight gets the fight to the mat. Since Harris is unable to defend against high-level grapplers, the heavyweight is due for some practice with hand fighting and submission defense. Although, the fight is a reminder of why the MMA fan base adores heavyweight tilts so much.

Jairzinho Rozenstruik is in an awkward place in the heavyweight division. Prior to his pairing against Augusto Sakai, the Suriname native looked like a shell of himself in his last fight. After facing top kickboxer Ciryl Gane, many are unsure if Rozenstruik will return to his old form.

Although, Rozenstruik’s striking is unpredictable and extremely fast. Indicative of his second buzzer-beater performance (first time against Alistair Overeem 4:59 Round 5). “Bigi Boy” is a fast-twitch striker that likes to throw from the hips which further cloaks the true destination of his strikes. Overall, Rozenstruik is a problem on the feet and is showing it more than ever after the knockout of Sakai.

There is no doubt— after a statement KO like that, Rozenstruik is in the driver’s seat again. Take a look at what the professional fighters had to say about the exciting main event.

Damnn what a finish for Rozenstruik. Mixed it up between the body and head so well. Big W for him! #UFCVegas28

Man, Jairzinho has crazy power when he turns it loose. Whew.

I just wanted to see another round I guess 🤷🏼‍♂️. Looked like Sakai was sitting up and trying to defend.
