UFC fighter Alan Jouban announced on Monday night that he is retiring from the sport of mixed martial arts.
Prior to sharing the big news, the welterweight staple last competed on the UFC 255: Figueiredo vs. Perez card in late November. Jouban faced Jared Gooden and put on a spectacular performance. The 39-year old looked great and managed to outstrike his opponent handily. Undoubtedly, his power looked next level, so he will definitely leave fans wanting more with his sudden departure.
Jouban announced the news on social media and reiterated his appreciation for the company he calls home and looks forward to his future in broadcasting. Just last week, Jouban was a part of a three-person team that handled the behind-the-desk duties for UFC Vegas 26.

In addition to the initial statement, the welterweight followed it up by thanking his coaches and all of his supporters.
“So I’ll focus my time now on broadcasting where I can still share my passion and knowledge for the sport with everyone at home. Thank you to everyone for all the love over the years. I look forward to becoming a staple in the sport from this end now as well.” Alan Jouban said.
In the end, the welterweight leaves behind a collection of high-action fights. Some of Jouban’s notable wins include Mike Perry, Ben Saunders, and Belal Muhammad.
