Live at the APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada on ESPN+ is another exciting card of UFC action where two former welterweight champions in Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley square off in a rivalry that may end in just one bout. Just before that fight is the co-main event that involves UFC veteran and Muay Thai expert Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone (36-15-0, 1 NC MMA, 23-12 UFC) who faces Niko “The Hybrid” Price (14-4 MMA, 6-4-0, 1 NC) on Saturday night on September 19. Cerrone currently owns the most victories inside the Octagon with 23. To own a UFC record that involves winning has still got to feel good for him, despite not winning a championship.
Never too late to appreciate greatness!
With 25 wins this decade alone, Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone has had a career and a half just between 2010 and 2019. Check out the wins that have made Donald Cerrone a candidate for fighter of the decade!https://t.co/uLqjSwscox pic.twitter.com/10eJi1hF2f

Being the winningest fighter in the company may be able to open a lot of doors for the 37-year old from Denver, Colorado. Unfortunately for him, he has dropped his last four battles to Tony Ferguson, Justin Gaethje, Conor McGregor, and Anthony Pettis over the past year. If he can bring home a win it will be for the first time since May 4, 2019, over Al Iaquinta via unanimous decision.
Meanwhile, Price is 3-3 in his last 6 fights and a big win over Cowboy would be a big feather in his cap. His last fight was a UFC 249 loss to Vicente Luque earlier in May.
Cerrone doesn’t only practice Muay Thai, but is also dangerous on the ground, as he holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Eliot Marshall and Gaidojutsu under the legendary Greg Jackson, who he trained under for over a decade before heading over to the BMF Ranch, both in the state of New Mexico, where he resides. Price trains under the American Top Team banner in Cape Coral, Florida and holds a three-inch reach advantage at 76”-73”.
UFC Fight Night: Covington-Woodley will start at 5 PM ET/2 PM PT with the preliminary card beginning before the main card starts at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT on ESPN+.
