Live from the Apex Center in Las Vegas, this Saturday night comes another edition of UFC Fight Night. The main event features Derek Brunson (21-7, MMA, 12-5 UFC) going head-to-head against Kevin Holland (21-5 MMA, 8-2 UFC). This is a middleweight matchup where both fighters have a combined 23 knockouts between them. Brunson has 12 of his 21 wins by way of knockout while Holland is not far off with 11.

Brunson was once a fighter under the Jackson-Wink MMA Academy and currently holds a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Renzo Gracie. The Wilmington, North Carolina product has now been a member of Sanford MMA since 2019. Brunson has notable wins over the likes of Chris Leben, Lyoto Machida, Ed Herman, Uriah Hall, and Edmen Shahbazyan.
Brunson recently won his third straight fight against Shahbazyan to bring his win total to 12. Meanwhile, Holland has notable wins over Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza, Charlie Ontiveros, Darren Stewart, Joaquin Buckley, and Anthony Hernandez. That list sums up his five-fight winning streak heading into this contest.
Holland was born in Riverside, California, and fights out of Fort Worth, Texas with a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Travis Litter and a second-degree black belt in Kung Fu. He represents the Phalanx MMA Academy.
