Rosa has an even UFC record after eight fights at 4-4 as he looks to go above .500 for the first time under the WME umbrella. The American Top Team standout with a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under its co-founder Ricardo Libório holds eight submission victories. He’s expected to attack from a grappling perspective as he has the credibility to do so. Compiling an 11-2 amateur MMA record, he is well prepared for this matchup against Minner.
Minner is a journeyman fighter who is also looking to move above .500 for the first time in his UFC tenure with a 1-1 record. Minner is affiliated with The Disorderly Conduct camp and has submission victories chalked up since 2014. His last decision win was back in October of 2013. Minner last had a knockout win a month earlier in that same year.
With these submission fighters going head to head, the question isn’t who’s going to go the distance against the other, but who might submit the other come this weekend in Las Vegas? Both men have a total of three knockouts between them with Rosa holding two.
UFC Fight Night will air on ESPN+ on Saturday night at 8 PM ET/5 PM PT.
