Coming live from the APEX Center in Las Vegas is another edition of UFC Fight Night. With a six-fight main card in tow, this should make for what should be an exciting weekend. The main event features Rob Font (18-4 MMA, 8-3 UFC) going toe-to-toe against Cody “No Love” Garbrandt (12-3 MMA, 7-3, UFC).
Font has won his last three fights after dropping a decision to Raphael Assunçao back in July of 2018. Garbrandt has defeated Assunçao back in June of 2020 after dropping three straight fights. Garbrandt represents Team Alpha Male while Font fights under the New England Cartel umbrella in this bantamweight matchup.
In the co-main event, it’ll be a women’s strawweight showdown as Xiaonan Yan (13-1 MMA, 6-0 UFC) will face Carla Esparza (17-6 MMA, 8-4 UFC). Yan has been flawless since she has fought in the Octagon while Esparza is aiming for her 9th win.
In men’s heavyweight action, Justin Tafa (4-2 MMA, 1-2 UFC) looks to bring his Octagon record to .500 when he takes on Team Quest product Jared Vanderaa (11-5 MMA, 0-1 UFC). Vanderaa lost his debut to Sergey Spivak back in February this year due to TKO.
In women’s featherweight division action, Felicia Spencer (8-2 MMA, 2-2 UFC) goes head-to-head against Norma Dumont (5-1 MMA, 1-1 UFC). Both have lost all of their fights in the UFC, and are looking to go above .500 in the Octagon Saturday night.
David Dvorak (19-3 MMA, 2-0 UFC, puts his 15-fight win streak on the line in his third UFC fight when he goes up against Raulian Paiva (20-3 MMA, 2-2 UFC). Paiva looks for his third straight win for the Endeavor-based promotion.
Jack Hermansson (21-6 MMA, 8-4 UFC) goes up against Edmen Shahbazyan (11-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) in men’s middleweight action.
UFC Fight Night will air on ESPN+ at 4 PM ET.
