According to MMA DNA, Mike Gundy is out in his scheduled bout for UFC 257. Instead, Nik Lentz fights Movsar Evloev who is undefeated. Evloev (13-0) is a nightmare matchup for anyone. However, if anyone is up for the task it’s the “The Carny” Lentz (30-11-2). The two will both throwdown on the legendary card headlined by Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier.
Nik Lentz fights Movsar Evloev – Early Look
The 26-year old unbeaten Russian athlete demonstrates an incredible will to win. While he has dealt with many bout cancellations, when he fights, he delivers. For example, against Rafael Dias, he delivered a spectacular fifth-round finish. Despite it being at a different promotion, it indicates his high ceiling. Not to mention, he bested the fighter who was forced to withdraw from the bout initially, Mike Grundy. It would be foolish not to mention Evloev’s incredible win over Enrique Barzola, a very hard fight for any featherweight.
A chance to explode for “The Carnie”
While Lentz may be older, his experience has taken him to victory countless times. Despite coming up short in his last few bouts, he faced nothing but killers like Charles Oliveira and Arnold Allen. It should be noted that Lentz should never be counted out because of his legendary toughness. The competition Lentz has seen throughout his career is astounding. Facing the likes of Islam Makhachev and even going three separate bouts with “Do Bronx”, underlines the relevant threat he remains even in today’s top ten.
