Tommy Fury has reportedly pulled out of his scheduled fight with Jake Paul on Dec. 18.

YouTube personality Keemstar was the first to announce the grudge match between Jake Paul and Tommy Fury was off. Just ten days before the two boxers were slated to meet in the ring, Tommy Fury pulled out of his contest with Paul. The show must go on. Jake Paul immediately dubbed his former foe, Tyron Woodley as next in line. After all, Woodley did tattoo “I love Jake Paul” on his middle finger and it appears the silly gesture was not in vain.

Despite many of their media appearances/press conferences being done virtually, there was definite animosity growing between the pair of boxers. When Tommy Fury’s dad got involved, the trash talk escalated quickly. Nevertheless, the fight is off, and there is no shortage of heat between “The Chosen One” and the YouTube-turned-boxer Jake Paul.

Tyron Woodley Seeking Revenge In Short Notice Fight Against Jake Paul

It was a very busy Monday (December 6, 2021) for boxing as news of Fury’s pullout circulated on the internet like a bad rash. The two gabbed back and forth in their latest press conference and Fury seemed more than ready to try to silence Paul. According to Paul, he’s not surprised that Tommy Fury pulled out of the fight. This is more than likely the reason why Paul kept Woodley on a short leash just in case the two planned to mix it up again.

“I’ve had it confirmed the Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury fight is off, folks. Fury is out with an injury.” MMA and boxing journalist, Chisanga Malata shared on Twitter Monday.

Jake Paul appears confident ahead of the rematch. In fact, the Disney star put a stipulation in the contract that Tyron Woodley will receive a large lump sum of cash if he is able to knock the Disney star out. During their initial contest in August, “The Chosen One” was incredibly close to scoring the KO after knocking Paul into the ropes, but ultimately the 24-year-old ran away with a split-decision victory.
While talks of Tyron Woodley and Dan Hardy seemed to be materializing, the fight fell apart and now Woodley is chasing a far more lucrative bag in the rematch with Paul. With the addition of Paul and Woodley now fighting again.

Here is the lineup for the Dec. 18 Showtime/Most Valuable Promotions event Paul vs. Woodley:

  • Jake Paul  vs.  Tyron Woodley
  • Amanda Serrano  vs.  Miriam Gutierrez
  • Anthony Taylor  vs.  Chris Avila
  • Deron Williams  vs.  Frank Gore
  • Yomar Alamo  vs.  Liam Paro
