The UFC card scheduled to go down on Feb. 27 is getting another addition. Thiago Moises and Alexander Hernandez were added to the card on Friday morning. Additionally, the card will be headlined by top light-heavyweights, Jiri Prochazka and Dominick Reyes.

Actually, the bout has been simmering for some time ever since Moises (14-4) called Hernandez (12-3) out at UFC Vegas 12. With the same young swag, Conor McGregor had, so did Hernandez. Brash and not shy for words, the bombastic lightweight was on a rocket ship to superstardom. Until he ran into some top tier lightweights and endured some setbacks. In 2019, he suffered on the big stage against the crafty veteran, Donald Cerrone. Prior to that, the fearless 28-year old was buzz-sawing through all competition. Then after successfully rebounding after the “Cowboy” fight, he put on a clinic against a fellow lightweight, Chris Gruetzemacher which took only 1:46 seconds to knock him out.

Thiago Moises and Alexander Hernandez Ready for War

On the other hand, Moises has looked outstanding inside the cage. Specifically, his ankle lock win over Michael Johnson might just be his best victory ever. However, the Brazilian out of Sao Paulo also has a signature win over Bobby Green and Kurt Holobaugh, despite both being by decision, they remain solid wins. One reason to give pause to Moises is that at times, the athlete can be inconsistent with performance. For instance, throughout his career, he alternated wins and losses, and that stifled his ability to ascend naturally in any organization. Putting all that aside, Moises vs. Hernandez makes for an incredible lightweight showdown.
