After a hiatus stretching since June of 2019, Tatiana Suarez is finally back and ready to fight.

In particular, ESPN’s Ariel Helwani was the first to announce the news of the impending return of the strawweight fighter. Suarez has won her last four UFC fights in a row, so it was naturally frustrating when her injuries kept her away from all the action. However, it is important that she took adequate time to heal as neck injuries are always tricky to rehabilitate.

MMA is the most exciting sport in the world. Period. #UFC262

Speaking to Helwani, the strawweight gave her thoughts on the news that she can finally resume her fighting career.

“I’m super excited to get back out there,” Tatiana Saurez said to ESPN’s Ariel Helwani. “It’s fun to practice, for sure. But it’s just different competing. Everybody knows that. It’s super exciting to just show what you’re working on.”

Tatiana Suarez Targeting Aug-Sept Return Date

Overall, Suarez is riding a thirteen-fight win streak and remains undefeated as a professional. Prior to the news of her return, the strawweight contender last competed against Nina Nunes in 2019. Consequently, the notable wrestler dominated the fight with her grappling skills and won a unanimous decision victory. Before that, Suarez put her name on the map with a win over a former champion. In fact, she beat former champ Carla Esparza with vicious ground and pound until securing the finish.

With such a huge win streak intact, without a doubt, matchmakers see Suarez as a legitimate player in the weight class. Not to mention, since she already has a win over a former champion, certainly fans and media alike could see Suarez fighting for a title in 2021 if she is healthy and cured of her neck injury issues.

Are you excited to see the return of Tatiana Suarez to the Octagon? If so, who would you like to see the top strawweight fight first?
