A violent featherweight bout is in the works between Sean Woodson and Youssef Zalal.
Additionally, the pairing was first reported by sources at MMAJunkie that the fight will go down on June 5. Each of the fighters involved in the matchup are looking to get back into the win column, but they are both dangerous fighters. Overall, on June 5, the card got a nice infusion considering each fighter is so well-rounded.
Sean Woodson vs. Youssef Zalal On Deck For June Event
Prior to the pairing with Zalal, Woodson found himself on the wrong side of a nasty submission. Specifically, the featherweight was strangled by Julian Erosa in a tight darce choke. Despite the loss, Woodson is always a dangerous out and has proven himself inside the Octagon to be able to pick up TKOs and submissions. In addition, one cannot question the toughness of Woodson considering he went toe-to-toe with Kyle Bochniak. In the end, the American beat Bochniask with a unanimous decision win.
On the other hand, Zalal is also looking to bounce back. While he entered the UFC red-hot, the young prospect has since run into trouble inside the promotion. In particular, Zalal’s last defeat came to the tough Seung Woo Choi despite putting up a valiant effort. However, Zalal is never to be underestimated. The young 24-year old continues to improve and grow within the UFC. Ultimately, since he entered at such a young age, the ceiling is extremely high for the young prospect.
With the addition of Sean Woodson taking on Youssef Zalal, here is an updated list of scheduled bouts for the UFC event on April 10:
- Manon Fiorot vs. Maryna Moroz
- Walt Harris vs. Marcin Tybura
