Sean Strickland thinks he clearly beat Jared Cannonier at UFC Vegas 66.
Strickland was headlining the final UFC event of 2022 against Cannonier in a crucial fight for the division. Both men are looking to get back into the win column and it was clear they were evenly matched as every round was very close. When the final bell rang, not many were certain who would get the win and with that, it was a split decision with two of the three judges scoring it for Cannonier.
Sean Strickland Responds to His Loss
After the loss, Strickland took to Instagram to share his thoughts as he blasted the judges as he thinks the judges don’t even know what they are watching.
“I’m a f*****g sore loser. Hats off to Jared. But again, you have judges that don’t know how to f******g do their job. You actually look at the scorecards and you look at the significant strikes and you look at how many times I wobbled him, and you know, you have people — experts in the field — come up to me and say, ‘Yeah man, I don’t know how you lost that one. You landed way more.”
“The scorecards should say it.’ So anyway, I’m going to shut the f**k up now and get off my soapbox. Thank you guys for supporting me. Thank you to the UFC. Back to the drawing board. On to the next one,” Strickland said in the video.

Judging are Robbing People of Their Career?
In the caption of the video, Strickland also added another shot at the judges.
“I just want to ask a judge when you go back and look at the data do you ever feel bad for robbing guys because you don’t know a damn thing about fighting?? Hmmm anyways thank you everyone.. Coaches, fans and haters! Onto the next!!,” Strickland added.
With the loss, Sean Strickland dropped to 25-5 and has now lost two fights in a row for the first time in his career. Prior to the split decision loss to Cannonier, he was knocked out by Alex Pereira which snapped his six-fight winning streak as he had notable wins over Jack Hermansson, Uriah Hall, and Brendan Allen among others.
