Paddy Pimblett believes UFC London on Saturday night was his last time fighting at the O2 Arena in London, England.

Pimblett returned to the English venue for his second-straight fight after he submitted Kazula Vargas in the first round at UFC Fight Night in March. This time around he was facing Jordan Leavitt and, after a competitive first-round, the Brit scored a second-round submission that erupted the crowd.

Paddy Pimblett is Ready to Invade America

It was clear throughout the event that Pimblett is a massive star. He got massive cheers when he walked out, and the fans also had a chant for him. After the fight, however, Pimblett says he thinks that is the last time he will fight at O2 Arena as he will now be on pay-per-views in the United States.

“I know for a fact now I’ll be fighting on pay-per-views with Jon Anik, Joe Rogan, and [Daniel Cormier] commentating,” Pimblett said after UFC London… “I know I won’t be fighting in The O2 again. It’s too small.”

Done With The O2, But Not Done With England

There is no question Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett is a massive star, so having him fight on pay-per-views makes sense. Fighting in the U.S. will also make him a bigger star there, and the hope for the Brit is returning one more time this year and perhaps the Madison Square Garden card makes sense.

Yet, the ideal plan for Pimblett is to stack up some wins and eventually force his way to Anfield Stadium in Liverpool so he can fight in front of a massive audience in his hometown.

“We will do Anfield,” Pimblett said. “I promise you now. [UFC President] Dana [White] said he won’t do Anfield, but he also said women will never fight in the UFC, and Ronda Rousey came along. He said he won’t do a stadium in the U.K., but The Baddy’s come along, so he will”.

Paddy Pimblett is currently 19-3 and on a five-win streak, including a 3-0 record in the UFC.
