They don’t call him “The Warmaster” for nothin’! At 42-years young, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Josh Barnett’s next order of duty in combat sports will be in the bare-knuckle realm. Barnett (34-8-0 MMA) will make his bare-knuckle debut in the KSW fight promotion in Poland. Barnett’s fight will put him against the company’s former heavyweight champion in Marcin Rozalski.

The KSW event is entitled “Genesis” and will take form on October 23rd, which will be available via online pay-per-view. Barnett’s last fight in MMA was a UFC Fight Night 93 submission victory over Andrei Arlovski back on September 3, 2016. He was signed to Bellator MMA but was released due to a failed drug test. This is the same thing that cost him the UFC World Heavyweight Championship.
WOW!!! The Warmaster @JoshLBarnett will face former KSW heavyweight champ Marcin Rozalski on Oct 23 in Poland.

As for Rozalski (7-4 MMA), his last bout came in May of 2017 knocking out Brazilian fighter Fernando Rodrigues in a mere 16 seconds at KSW 39. With the fight schedule in a little less than three weeks away, this gives MMA and bare-knuckle fighting fans the further variety it surely craves as the combat sports world continues to evolve over time and at an even quicker rate.Β
The promotion was founded by film director, entrepreneur, and even a martial artist in his own right, Maciej Kawulski, who started his training at a young age and became a fighter who had a brief stint in MMA before grappling in the 2002 Polish Jiu-Jitsu Championships by winning the title.
