Jimmy Crute will not be fighting Johnny Walker on March 27 at UFC 260.

Crute and Walker was a fight many fans were looking forward to and many fans expected it to end inside the distance. It was also a pivotal fight for the light heavyweight division but it will no longer happen.

The Kiwi in Crute took to Instagram to reveal Walker has ducked him again by pulling out of the fight.

“A wise man called @danielkellyjudo once told me “in a sport that’s supposed to be full of tough guys you’d be surprised at how many pussies there are in this sport” very true words. Disappointed that my opponent has ducked me yet again but I can’t say that I am surprised that being said I can’t express how excited and grateful I am that a true fighter has decided to step in and fight me. This is a better fight, better name, and bigger challenge but I’m ready for it,” Crute wrote on Instagram.

One name that does make sense to replace Walker is Anthony Smith. Both Crute and Smith have called each other out as of late and “Lionheart” doesn’t have his next fight booked. He also fits the description of a better fight, bigger name, and bigger challenge.

Jimmy Crute is coming off a first-round knockout win over Modestas Bukauskas in October. Before that, he submitted Michal Oleksiejczuk in the first-round to rebound after losing to Misha Cirkunov for his first career loss. He also holds notable wins over Sam Alvey and Paul Craig.

Johnny Walker, meanwhile, returned to the win column last time out with a TKO win over Ryan Spann. Before that, he suffered back-to-back losses to Nikita Krylov and Corey Anderson. Entering the Anderson fight, the thought was if the Brazilian won, he would’ve gotten a title shot.
