Jan Blachowicz And Teixeira – UFC 266 Bound
After claiming the light heavyweight title in the absence of Jon Jones, Blachowicz’s power was on full display. Specifically, the light heavyweight champion managed to knock out Dominick Reyes in the second round.
Conversely, Teixeira’s will inside the cage has been a joy to watch. The 41-year old former title contender has defied Father Time with a five-fight win streak intact.
Following his recent wins over former title challengers Anthony Smith and Thiago Santos it was clear Blachowicz would be a problem for most in the weight class. The Brazilian is now undeniable after both his recent wins came by way of finish. Last May, the boxer-brawler took out Smith with some brutal ground and pound. Then, he showed off his grappling skills when he submitted Santos after drowning him in round three.
In the end, the UFC 266 pay-per-view card will surely be packed with exciting fights, and this fight has all the makings to be a must-see show.
With the addition of the big championship fight between Teixeira and light heavyweight champion Jan Blachowicz, they will now sit atop the UFC 266 card, while other fight announcements have yet to be announced.
