The light heavyweight thriller between Jamahal Hill and Paul Craig is postponed.
After Hill tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, the young upstart responded on social media about the incident. Specifically, the fighter lets all his fans know that he is doing good.
“So just an update Sweet Dreams Nation I have tested positive for covid!!! Jamahal Hill posted. I am having some symptoms but with the fight 18 days away we will see how I feel in the coming days my hope is I feel better and am able to still fight March 20th but health is most important!!!”
The young athlete was eager to let his fans know the situation on social media and hopes that he will still be able to make the fight since it is still 18 days away.
Jamahal Hill vs. Paul Craig Postponed Due to Covid-19 Positive Test
Overall, it appears the light heavyweight is confident he will make a solid return. Prior to the misfortune, he is coming off a spectacular win against Ovince Saint Preux where the fight appeared close until the 29-year old sniped him with a barrage of punches. In addition, it highlighted the readiness the young athlete is for the upper echelon of the light heavyweight division.
On the other hand, Craig is always a tough out. With awkward striking and unorthodox submissions, the Scottland native is always fun to watch inside the cage. Before this bout was announced, the Scottland-born athlete put a stop to Brazilian legend, Maurício Rua where he ultimately made the legend tap to strikes.
Granted, the fight with Rua was a rematch for Craig, the grappler still performed incredibly well in the striking department. In addition, when the bout does come together, he comes into the fight on a three-fight win streak. Either way, both athletes won’t be lacking confidence when the cage door locks on fight night.
When the booking does finally happen, and Paul Craig vs. Jamahal Hill is on deck, what fighter are you taking to win? Let us know!
