Jake Paul will be going into MMA.
It was revealed by The New York Times on Thursday – and later confirmed by a YouTube video by Jake Paul – that ‘The Problem Child’ has signed with the PFL. According to the video, Paul will compete in the Super Fight division, which will air two cards on pay-per-view in 2023. Along with that, his business partner Nakisa Bidarian will also own an equity share of the PFL.
Fighters that compete in PFL’s pay-per-view will also receive 50 percent of the revenue, Paul revealed in the video. The brash YouTuber says it is a step in the right direction in increasing fighter pay in MMA. Yet, as of right now, it is uncertain when Paul will make his MMA debut but he will help promote the PFL’s PPV division before he steps into the cage. But, when he does make his MMA debut, he already has a name in mind as he called out Nate Diaz to box him, and then six months later he will fight him in MMA in the PFL.
Jake Paul on Calling Out Nate Diaz
“If that’s not balls, then I don’t know what is,” Paul said. “Nate Diaz I’m down to fight you in your own damn sport. Let’s make it happen.”
The news is also a big one for PFL chairman and co-founder Donn Davis who said it is a multi-fight and multi-year deal. He knows that Paul’s fanbase will also help bring more eyes to MMA and the PFL.

“I think what’s made Jake interesting to fans is that he works hard and he doesn’t underestimate what it takes,” Davis told ESPN. “He knows he’s not ready [for his MMA debut] right now, but he’s starting to train. I think it’s going to be about one year from now, so early 2024, where you’ll see him take on his first opponent. But the kind of opponents he is thinking of will shock the world in terms of their status and name brand.”
Jake Paul is currently 6-0 as a pro boxer and coming off a decision win over Anderson Silva.
