Early Saturday morning, news emerged that the light-heavyweight bout between Dominick Reyes and Jiri Prochazka was canceled. Consequently, the bout taking place instead will be moved and now features a heavyweight banger between Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Ciryl Gane. The news was first reported by Farah Hannoun at MMAJunkie.com but, the 30-year old Frenchmen also corroborated the reports by announcing his fight indeed was moved to Feb. 27 for a five-round fight.

Specifically, the two will battle it out in the headlining spot for the UFC event on Feb.27. Despite losing a thrilling fight between two light-heavyweights, the replacement is just as good. With two very dangerous strikers, without a doubt, it will be the main event to remember.
Jairzinho Rozenstruik and Ciryl Gane To Headline
Prior to the bout agreement, Rozenstruik bounced back from his first professional loss. In particular, he suffered a brutal twenty-second knockout to the infamous Francis Ngannou. Following that rough outing, the heavyweight got back on track against former champion, Junior dos Santos. The heavyweight prospect from Suriname showed resolve after a close first round. Above all, the performance showed that not only did Rozenstruik have power, but it translated throughout the rounds.
Conversely, Gane has also looked very impressive inside the cage. In fact, his kickboxing style translated beautifully, and his striking is a joy to behold. However, given the string of finishes he’s amassed, it’s clear he will be a problem in the heavyweight division. Also important to note is the 6″5″ heavyweight’s young age, which happens to be a rarity for the heaviest division nowadays.
With the addition of Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Ciryl Gane, the bout schedule for the UFC event on Feb. 27 now includes:
- Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs. Ciryl Gane
- Raphael Assuncao vs. Raoni Barcelos
- William Knight vs. Alonzo Menifield
- Alexis Davis vs. Sabina Mazo
- Randy Brown vs. Alex Oliveira
- Hannah Cifers vs. Emily Whitmire
- Alex Caceres vs. Kevin Croom
- Magomed Ankalaev vs. Nikita Krylov
- Montana De La Rosa vs. Mayra Bueno Silva
- Alexander Hernandez vs. Thiago Moises
- Vince Cachero vs. Ronnie Lawrence
