The UFC fight night card on Feb. 20 is beginning to shape up, and so is the 2020 schedule. First reported by, Farah Hannoun at MMAJunkie, a lightweight bout between Jai Herbert and Drakar Klose is in the works.
While the Feb. 20 card has yet to be assigned a location, the lightweight bout featuring Herbert vs. Klose will certainly put some heat behind the event. Prior to the pairing, Klose suffered a setback against Beneil Dariush via TKO. However, given the year Dariush has had, the loss does not reflect a full account of Klose’s capabilities. Just like Klose, Herbert also endured a setback in early 2020. Since both athletes seek redemption, the pressure behind this matchup is mounting.
A closer look at Jai Herbert and Drakar Klose:
Former Cage Warriors lightweight champion, Herbert (10-2) looks to bounce back after a rough outing against, a perennial contender, Francisco Trinaldo. Even though he endured a rough outing against the Brazilian on fight island, Herbert always brings the action. Overall, Herbert’s style of fighting always brings attention considering his knack for knockouts. Prior to the devastating loss to Trinaldo, the Team Renegade BJJ product was riding a six-fight win streak with five coming by way of knockout.
Conversely, Klose (11-2-1) also put together a nice streak before running into problems. For example, his wins over Lando Vannata and Bobby Green remain as some of his most solid victories inside the UFC. Despite going to a decision often, Klose has always had a challenging schedule of opponents. With the addition of Jai Herbert and Drakar Klose included, here are all the announcements for the fight night card on Feb 20th:
- Chris Daukaus vs. Aleksei Oleinik
- Jai Herbert vs. Drakkar Klose
- Danny Chavez vs. Jared Gordon
