Last week, Dana White’s Contender Series Season 6 had a very unexpected start as a visibly upset Dana White only awarded one contract out of the four winners. That contract went to Joe Pyfer who coincidentally earned the only finish of the night.
Dana White Laid Into Episode 1’s Fighters
White seemed to question whether some of the fighters showed up entirely. He also lamented the fact he doesn’t care about what you did your entire career up to that point. A fighter’s performance on his showcase is all that matters. “I don’t give a s*** what you did yesterday, two years ago, throughout the rest of your career,” he said, “Right here, right now, show me, show the media and show the rest of the world who you are. Who are you? Every night is not going to be your night. But f****** Tuesday night better be your night.”

With that, the season returns to a full five-fight card this Tuesday, featuring some good fights. Hopefully, some fighters are extra motivated by the response White had in Episode 1.
