It seems Dana White and Nick Diaz are finally hashing out some of their issues and it looks good for the older Diaz brother.
UFC president Dana White indicated that there is a strong possibility that Diaz returns in 2021. Diaz was a guest in Jacksonville Florida for the UFC 261 event in April. Ever since, many fans have wondered if the Stockton banger will be back in the cage soon.
The last time the MMA world witnessed Diaz inside of the cage was in 2015. The cult-personality-star took on the legend Anderson Silva. In the end, the bout would end in a No-Contest result. For the first time in six years, it looks like Nick Diaz is ready and eager to return to his old stomping grounds. Initially, the UFC boss specified that he was doubtful about Diaz’s potential return but that has since changed.

In the video, White mentions that Diaz is in talks with UFC matchmakers Sean Shelby and Mick Maynard.
“The matchmakers have (talked to Diaz about his comeback), but I don’t know where we’re at on it. But it’s looking promising,” Dana White said.”
According to White, the boss has not yet spoken to Diaz since at the UFC 261 event. However, the UFC boss reiterated that UFC matchmakers Hunter Campbell and Sean Shelby are currently in talks with the UFC star in regards to his return.
Fighting since 2001, Diaz is one of the only true throwback fighters left in the organization. In part, that is why he and his brother have such marquee names now. Although the win against Conor McGregor undoubtedly rocketed the Diaz name into many households around the world, the Diaz brothers understand that they are the “A Side” now.
