Cris “Sunshine” Lencioni (6-2) will face AJ Agazarm (3-1) in a highly anticipated featherweight showdown at Bellator 243 tomorrow night at the Mohegan Sun Casino.

There has been bad blood between these two men for quite some time now. There was even a rumored secret submission underground matchup between the two that Cris swears took place.

We caught up with Lencioni to get the backstory on their feud before the fight takes place tomorrow night.

“He can play denial all he wants I’m about to take the second win. I’m about to be 2-0 against AJ it’s great and God he is so little. I really thought he would be bigger its really disappointing”.

Lencioni continued to explain how the bad blood began.

“I ran into him at one of my amateur fights I thought he was one of the water boys down there. There was a submission underground going on or maybe it was a pro fight when Sugarcoats first started. I fought the day before on the FCFF card and I was like hey man can you grab me and my coaches some water, and he was down there and your only down there if you’re fighting or if your Commission. He got really upset about that and I was like what is this little midget getting so upset about I was super nice. Then I get mad and I’m about to fight so I’m like hey man go get me some water and then he went got me some water and he was like I am AJ Agazarm and then I said cool I’m Cris Lencioni I I’m about to fight get out of my fight. Then he lost to Nate Orchard the next day. So that is when the bad blood started”.

Cris discussed “Camp was really good. I did half my camp back home with my buddy Thomas Patrick, he’s a really good friend of mine and we co coach and run my facility called sunshine athletics. Its not because I’m an ego maniac its because the kids love the name sunshine and they don’t know a lot about my fighting. Then half the camp we went down to Huntington beach and trained with TJ Dillashaw, Cub Swanson I got a practice in with Brian Ortega so that was cool. Then Juan Archuleta just beat my ass for a couple weeks so there is nothing that AJ is going to do to me that hasn’t been done to me very aggressively the last few weeks”.

It is almost fight night and the talking will be over and time for the world to see these two high level mixed martial artists get inside of the Bellator cage with one another and settle this feud. Lencioni discussed how he expects fight night to play out.

“I love saying this and everyone always asks that and I was always think of Clubber Lang, Pain”. Cris then explained that he believes his opponent doesn’t even want to be here competing against him.

“He doesn’t want to be here, I’ve been in this game for awhile, I can see that in somebody’s eyes. I ran into him in the back to and he wouldn’t even look at me”.

Bellator 243 will be on the paramount network and DAZN August 7th, 2020. Don’t miss it.
