UFC superstar Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier are in the headlines but this time for a fight that’s not in the Octagon.
Prior to the fight taking place, McGregor decided to give a bold prediction that he would knock out Poirier. However, after he gave the prediction, the Lousianna-native responded and inside the response, the number one ranked lightweight said that following his big win over the Irishman, that indeed the McGregor reneged on his offer of a $500,000 donation to Poirier’s Good Fight Foundation.
Conor McGregor and Poirier Go To War On Social Media
On Sunday night, Poirier corrected McGregor but gave his official prediction as to how the third fight will unravel. In addition, it was reported that the two would meet in a rubber match scheduled for the UFC 264 pay-per-view on July 10.
That's a fun prediction! @TheNotoriousMMA you also predicted a donation to my foundation and you and your team stopped responding after the fight in January.
See you soon.

Following the social media mayhem, it is clear the third fight won’t have the same undertones as the last one. McGregor insisted it’s not a debt, and that he does have plans for the money.
Overall, Poirier gave his prediction and implied that McGregor’s team ghosted his foundation’s contacts after the fight. In the end, at UFC 257 Poirier came out with perhaps the biggest win of his career.
100% never a debt. You offered, we accepted, and like I said your Team never responded to our emails regarding the process of where funds would be put to work! July 10th you will taste defeat yet Again https://t.co/k3Cu9DG1Me

Since the mayhem went down, McGregor erupted in a tirade on Twitter. Here is what he had to say.

“You’re ripped you inbred hillbilly. McGregor posted. Why do you wink with your ears? You f–king brain dead hillbilly. 500k with no plan in place. Ye hang tight. Fool. You must be new to money. The fight is off btw. I’m going to fight someone else on the 10th. Good luck on your old contract kid.”
It appears the bad press has really gotten under the skin of McGregor. Now with the fight allegedly in jeopardy, it will be interesting to see how this story develops.
