On Tuesday morning Bellator announced their return and the rematch between Douglas Lima and Michael Page is a green light for London, England.
After the promotion announced their return event for London, they clarified that Page and Lima will finally have their rematch at Bellator 267. The two welterweights will meet at The SSE Arena, Wembley in London, England. In addition, the bout will take place on October 1. The promotion made the bout official on Tuesday.
A Look Back At Lima & Page’s First Encounter
At Bellator 267, Lima and Page will meet in an informal number one contender’s bout. Since the first fight had such a clear-cut winner, certainly the result of the second bout will give way to a top contender. When they first met a few years ago, Lima managed to evade the crafty striking of Page and got the job done after a brutal leg kick swept “Venom” to the ground. However, before he could even hit the mat, Lima was already pouncing on him to put his lights out.
Three years later, and now Page will have the opportunity to avenge his one and only professional loss. While Page intends to fight in the UFC one day, for now, he will continue to build his brand under the Bellator organization.

After dropping his belt to Yaroslav Amosov in June, Lima has a chance to re-solidify himself as the number one contender if he should get past “Venom” Page. On the other hand, Page has gone on a spree since losing to Lima. In particular, the lengthy welterweight is on a 5-fight win streak since enduring his first professional loss to Lima back in 2019.
Without a doubt, the venue and atmosphere will be a huge change considering Bellator has mainly considered Uncasville, Connecticut their home during the global pandemic. With the company’s inevitable return to London, perhaps this is the first of many events to begin unfolding in Europe.
