For Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, it’s already been a great year as they showed off their newest acquisition in Paige VanZant, facing off against Britain Hart at Knucklemania back in February. For BKFC President David Feldman, that became a huge feather in his business cap. But that’s not all. BKFC plans to make bigger cards for the spring and summer with more household names. One of them being Wanderlei “The Axe Murderer” Silva, per MMAfighting.com.

“[Wanderlei Silva] is going to be fighting,” Feldman said. “He’s been training really, really hard, and that conversation happens tomorrow, and then we’re going to give him a list of three different opponents and that’s going to be something great that we want to announce as well.”
Feldman also signed former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir to a contract but has yet to make his debut due to his Saturday night bout with Steve Cunningham at the Triller Fight Club: Jake Paul-Ben Askren card.
“We came to an agreement with Frank Mir, and he’s represented by First Round [Management] and we have a good relationship with them,” Feldman explained. “They said they had an opportunity to make a whole lot of money fighting on this card so I said, yeah, go ahead. We’re all in this for the same goal to put on great shows and make money and he has an opportunity so I gave it to him.
“We’ll see how the outcome is. Obviously, if he puts up a good fight and he looks good, he’s coming back and if he looks like his career is winding down then his career can wind down.”
As far as big free agent pick-ups go, VanZant is the one that crosses people’s minds, despite losing a five-round decision to Hart at Knucklemania back in February. Feldman has been focused on the upcoming April 30 fight card, which will take place in Birmingham, Alabama. BKFC was the first combat sports organization to have fans in attendance during the COVID-19 pandemic and they plan to have more fans in attendance as the event is only two weeks away.
