UFC Hall of Famer BJ Penn in once again in hot water with the law. After police received a complaint of reckless driving, the 42-year old MMA legend was arrested for DUI (driving under the influence) back on January 23. This report was confirmed by Hawaii County Police Department spokesperson Denise Laitinen to MMA Fighting.
The former two-division champion in the UFC welterweight and lightweight division is seen below being taken by police in handcuffs screaming incoherently and using obscenities demonstrating hostility and belligerence. (Warning: For those sensitive to foul language, watch at your own risk)

Penn was also investigated for a DUI last February of 2020 while crashing his truck into a shopping mall in his native city of Hilo and was hospitalized. The results of his blood-alcohol test eventually triggered this past investigation as a member of the Penn family rep denied he flipped the truck as initially reported.
Subsequently, Penn was released from the UFC in September 2019, one month after a video surfaced of him fighting a man in the street and getting knocked out. UFC President Dana White promised him one more fight before the incident and was in talks to fight rival Nik Lentz.
