At the iKON Fighting Federation 4 event in San Carlos, Mexico, Bella “Lady” Mir picked up her second win in her young mixed martial arts career. She defeated Alma Cespedes via submission using a rear-naked choke at 1:53 in the first round. Being a standout on the girls’ wrestling team at Bishop Gorman High School back in her native Las Vegas, Nevada prepared her well for this bout.

Not to mention, her father, legendary former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Frank Mir trains his daughter, getting her prepared for each bout. Winning two matches in a nearly two-month span has already given her a fast track to early dominance so far. She won her first match against Danielle Wynn via unanimous decision but didn’t need the judges this time around. With a third fight that will take place in 2021, the 17-year old phenom exits 2020 with a 2-0 MMA record.

All before she has becomes an official adult and is eligible to drink legally, she has already accomplished a lot in her young career. When she signed a deal with father Frank’s management, Front Row, headed by his longtime manager Malki and Abe Kawa, it looked like the right move. So far, it looks to be paying off. Kawa made a post per BJPENN.com.

“This one is a good one… please help me in welcoming 17 yr old @ladymir11 Bella Mir to the @firstroundmgmt family. Bella’s happens to be the oldest daughter of 2x heavyweight champion and first Cuban champion ever in the @ufc, @thefrankmir. Now here’s the best part: Bella is regarded as the best athlete in Las Vegas, male or female, her dad has been training her for years, and well… she’s making her pro debut next month‼️ skies the limit and here’s to the real future of the women’s divisions everywhere! I’d say welcome to the fam, but you’ve been family! #mir #mma #womanpower #fightlikeagirl”

Frank was so impressed, as one would imagine, that he posted the results of the fight on Instagram. Would a future Hall of Famer steer us in the wrong direction?
