Sara McMann will take on number 7th ranked women’s bantamweight Aspen Ladd on August 13th at a venue and location yet to be announced. Sources have just confirmed to All Access MMA that the fight is officially signed and that everything is a done deal.
Sara McMann is coming off of a unanimous decision victory over Karol Rosa back in March 26th, 2022. She is 7-6 in the UFC with 3 finishes. McMann will look to overtake Aspen Ladd in the rankings with a win here.
Sara McMann is a long time veteran with over 10 years of professional experience in the cage. She started her professional career red-hot starting a 7 fight win streak starting back in 2012. McMann’s first professional loss was at the hands of superstar Ronda Rousey back in 2014.
McMann has an impressive resume of past opponents with majority of her losses coming from the best of the best in the division. Her losses include Ronda Rousey, Miesha Tate, Amanda Nunes, and Julianna Pena. All of these were former UFC champions.
Aspen Ladd is coming off of a loss to Raquel Pennington back at UFC 273 on April 9th, and she will be looking to get back into the win column after suffering her second straight loss. She is is 4-3 in the UFC with 3 wins coming by way of TKO.
Aspen Ladd had just as an impressive start in her professional career as well starting off with an 8-fight win streak back in 2015.
Ladd’s pro career began in the popular women’s MMA promotion Invicta Fighting Championship. She went on to go undefeated with a record of 5-0 before starting her career with the UFC. Aspen Ladd started off her UFC career 2-0 with wins over Sijara Eubanks and Tonya Evinger. Her first loss did not come until facing former title challenger Germaine de Randamie.
