Former UFC featherweight Artem Lobov adds himself to the list of haters that want to step in the ring with YouTube sensation Jake Paul. The Ultimate Fighter: McGregor vs. Faber cast member has expressed interest in going toe-to-toe with the internet celebrity who has recently called out Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis, and Ben Askren. While Paul is aiming for everyone on Team Straight Blast Gym Ireland, Lobov is willing to “whoop” Paul for the right price.
With all of the call-outs that Paul has made over the last week, there are actually a few fans concerned about him as he may be biting off more than he can chew.
Slow down damn you can’t fight them all at once 😂😂❤️

All in all, Lobov feels the need to cash in on the opportunity to call out Paul as this is not only a financial tactic but the fact that Paul has become Public Enemy #1 for SBG Ireland. As they have been a target on Paul’s radar, Lobov feels the need to defend his teammates as he aspires to transition to the sport of the sweet science. With a 13-15-1 (1) MMA record and a 2-1 record with Bare Knuckle FC, he feels confident enough to take down the upstart.
Lobov has unfinished business as he makes a return to MMA fighting Ylies Dijroun at ARENA FIGHT 2 on December 12. As for transitioning to boxing, he spoke with MMA Junkie Radio about his recent ambitions.
“I’m only going to be fighting for two more years and I would like to secure a good future for my family,” Lobov said. “I’ve been getting six figures for quite some time now, and life is good on six figures. But if you want to secure a good future for the family, you have to be hitting those seven-figure paydays, and I feel the easiest way to do it, if not the only way to do it, is through boxing.”
“So I had some interesting proposals at the start of 2020, but corona(virus) (expletive) everything up for me,” Lobov said. “So I’m hoping to pick up right where I left off. And yes, I will be training MMA because it will make sure that I’m ready for any other combat sport. But yeah, I will definitely be looking toward boxing for sure.”
With 33 combat sport fights to his record, he’s one of many that would love to teach Paul a lesson in respect. Whether that fight happens down the road is anyone’s guess. Otherwise, Team SBG Ireland has a common goal and it’s not just to win their fights, but to take down Jake Paul, one day at a time, one training session at a time.
