Ariel Helwani is returning to his old home at MMAFighting.com.
While the news came as a shock to many, a few weeks ago, Helwani himself stated on the DC & Helwani Show that the long-time award-winning journalist was departing from ESPN on his own accord.
In addition to the news of his return to SB Nation’s MMA Fighting, it was also announced that he will return as the host to his once-popular MMA show The MMA Hour With Ariel Helwani.
Fans can expect Helwani to bring back his show which will air twice a week and feature a lineup of interviews with the hottest fighters in our current times. In particular, the interviews are to begin flowing again on August 16. The 10-time winner of the World MMA Awards’ “MMA Journalist of the Year” will once again return to his old stomping grounds.
In a post on Instagram, the renowned MMA journalist is happy to say that he is back with his former workplace and ready for a new chapter in his life.
“You can go home again. THE MMA HOUR IS BACK IN YOUR LIFE!!!! (Damn, it feels good to write that.)” Ariel Helwani posted on Instagram.
Additionally, Helwani shared the news on Twitter.

Originally started in 2009, Ariel Helwani ran his MMA show at MMA Fighting for 9 years straight. Eventually, the MMA reporter accepted a position with ESPN but is now starting anew with a former partner and it seems he couldn’t be more excited.
You can now expect Ariel Helwani BACK IN YOUR LIFE Mondays and Wednesdays at 1 p.m. ET starting on Aug 16.
