This Saturday, June 13th, we will witness the long-awaited championship bout between Amanda “The Lioness” Nunes and Felicia “The FeeNom” Spencer.  Nunes (19-4) will put her almost 6-year undefeated streak and Featherweight Championship belt up against the former Invicta FC champion Spencer (8-1) at the UFC Apex Area in Las Vegas, Nevada.  The bout was originally slated for an earlier April date in Brazil but was one of the many victims of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Nunes is currently riding a 10-fight win streak consisting of dominant performances over MMA household names such as Cris Cyborg, Holly Holm, and Ronda Rousey.  Her train is running at full speed and is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon.

The challenger, Felicia Spencer, is coming off an impressive first-round TKO stoppage against Zarah Fairn dos Santos earlier in the year.  Spencer’s ever-improving fight game seems to have grown capable of standing with The Lioness, and she’s hungry for her title shot against Nunes.

Hopefully, MMA fans will get a much-needed spectacle to put a bit of positivity in our lives, and we witness some great fights on this UFC 250 card this weekend.

Prediction:  I personally do not see Spencer winning this fight in any way, shape, or form.  Nunes is the time tested dominant fighter, and I believe she is superior in every aspect of the fight game.  Nunes is 100% the better striker, and it would be foolish to try and trade with her hands of stone.

Spencer could possibly (and that is a BIG possibly) have a fighting chance on the ground with Nunes, but the only way this goes into a grappling match is if Nunes chooses to do so.

Vegas has the odds at -650 Nunes and +475 for Spencer.  As a betting man, I will gladly place a bet on Spencer for those staggering odds, but will not be surprised at all when I lose.  #AndStill by first-round TKO/KO, Amanda “The Lioness” Nunes!
