Michael Bisping is widely known as one of the most vocal fighters in the debate over performance enhancing drug use. The former UFC middleweight champion has accused Georges St. Pierre, Luke Rockold and Vitor ‘TRT’ Belfort of exploiting holes in drug regulation during their careers.
However, his attention has now turned to featherweight veteran, Chad Mendes. Bisping hit out at the former title challenger in a heated section of the Believe You, Me podcast earlier this week.
“I did see Chad Mendes the wee f****** s****. He f****** went on Tim Kennedy’s page and called me ignorant, disrespectful and all this type of stuff.”
“You little steroid cheating f***. Don’t be sour because your career amounted to nothing.
“Ignorant and disrespectful? What, like disrespecting the sport by taking steroids by dishonouring yourself and your opponent in a sport that someone could die? Shame on you, you little dip s***.”
As expected, Mendes fired back at the UFC commentator within hours via Instagram.
Unfortunately, Chad’s response wasn’t strictly accurate. It has been revealed that USADA handed him the two year suspension specifically for the use of Human Growth Hormone, which was allegedly part of a skin cream that he’d used that year.
Bisping was quick to pick holes in Mendes’ story following his flawed response.
Do you think that this latest incident will affect Mendes’ legacy?
